Attending an online course is very different from attending a course in a traditional class. You are certainly more independent, you have more freedom to choose when and how to apply but, for those who are not used to this sudden change in learning methods, it can present some difficulties. Those who take online courses must have good management skills, self-discipline and willpower. To make sure we get to the end of the course, we've rounded up 10 tips that a good online learner should follow to successfully and without much difficulty.

# Consider your online course as if it were 'real' A good starting point is to consider and carry out your online course with the same seriousness with which a classroom course would take place, sitting in front of the pc, making sure you have a good connection, preparing to carry on learning with dedication and without procrastinating. Then lock the calendar in advance, to give invasion-proof continuity of colleagues (even at a distance) and family members. There's no time like the present!

# Set goals and things to do (after) Set your goals at the beginning of each course, be aware that by organizing an effective 'work plan', you could get the most profit from your online lessons. Use, as you take the course, To Do Lists to stay on track with the program and mark inspirations and things to apply immediately that came to mind following the online course, including – important – the questions to ask the teacher.

# Better organize your time Freedom in the organization of one's time is a fundamental element and often represents one of the main attractions that are the basis of the choice of the online course.

However, this freedom can be harmful if you do not have solid time management skills. In fact, it is necessary to commit to make the online course part of the daily or weekly routine, dividing the lessons of the course into manageable time slots.

You should understand what kind of person you are: if you're early in the day, let your routine start with a fair 'dose' of online course. Don't put the course in the range where your productivity is low, you would waste money and time.

# Pause! Important: Also include any breaks! Remember that not all lessons within a course require the same level of concentration, so if you feel that tiredness makes you lose focus, better stop. Another tip to keep the concentration high is to take air (as much as possible :) to return to the course with more energy and serenity.

# Create a study space and keep it organized. Not being in a physical class, so without a teacher, colleagues and other cursives, we need to rebuild the study environment as much as possible in a part of the house and make it as quiet as possible. A good ally of the organization of time is the organization of space and using a single area, identifying it as a work station, helps to complete the outline of a routine. Experience which environment is most comfortable for you and which stimulates your concentration the most, such as an area well lit by natural light.

Once chosen, keep the "home" work area tidy. Studies show that there is a strong correlation between desk clutter and the tendency to procrastinate one's work

# Put on your headphones and eliminate distractions To take a better online course it is recommended to use headphones to be able to immerse yourself in the lesson, have better audio, remove the noises of the house and other inhabitants. It is essential to eliminate any temptation by making the study area free of technological distractions. Store your mobile phone a few meters away and mute notifications. (Even those of the PC!). Close all browser tabs, except the course tab. There are also programs that block attempts to exit the browser window.

# Learn how you learn best Not everyone learns the same way,so think what kind of fruition helps you better grasp new concepts. Print if you can slide video lessons (maybe in three slides per sheet, so you save paper) and take notes on them. If you store better through listening, listen to the videos multiple times, even keeping them in the background like a podcast.

For some online courses in Digital Update we are also making transcripts available, a great way to quickly reread or copy important steps to the clipboard, perhaps keeping the video course as just audio in the background.

8. Join the community Don't be afraid (if we don't learn you wouldn't call course!) to ask questions (but also to answer others!) in the dedicated Facebook group (or in other ways): in addition to making you better understand the topics covered, interacting with other students can create interesting connections for the exchange of new ideas, knowledge and suggestions. In addition to what you learn directly, there is learning that is based on multi-directional collaboration.

9. How not to give up Sometimes you get lost: it's human. But you can always pick it up all over again, like a Netflix series :). (Our courses do not expire). You can look for someone to take the course with you (from his home, these days :-)) to keep times and deadlines. In Gmail you can write an email to... yourself into the future. Writing not to give up and to go ahead, for example by planning one every Monday morning.
